Expect aromas of blackcurrant (cassis), dark cherry, and plum. You will also find hints of green bell pepper, tobacco, and some earthy and herbal notes. The wine generally features flavors of ripe black fruits, along with secondary notes of oak, vanilla, and possibly a touch of coffee or chocolate if it has undergone oak aging.
