The Estate: Domaine Faiveley are one of Burgundy's most prestigious and historic wine producers. The domaine was established in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley in Nuits-Saint-Georges. It remains family-owned and has been passed down through generations. Erwan Faiveley is currently at the helm, representing the seventh generation of the family. They owns extensive vineyard holdings across Burgundy, with more than 120 hectares (300 acres) of vineyards. This includes plots in some of the most renowned appellations, such as Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, Corton, and Clos de Vougeot. They have vineyards in both the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, as well as significant holdings in the Côte Chalonnaise. Their vineyards encompass a variety of terroirs, contributing to the complexity and diversity of their wines. They emphasizes traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques, combined with modern innovations. They aim to produce wines that express the unique character of each terroir.
